As evidenced by this story, Haque seems perfectly willing to twist facts to suit thoeries.

Haque has no concern for the individuals involved. What matters for him is that, in isolation, the image fits a narrative that Haque wants to promulgate. Sandmann and Philips fold right into the drama he wants to portray. If he needs to crop out relevant details to frame it in that narrative, so be it.

This is not just an affront to the truth, although it certainly is that. Haque goes beyond misreporting the story: he openly engages in the defamation of Sandmann’s character. Without doing any research into his background, without so much as looking up his name, and based only on one expression in one still frame, Haque takes the liberty to label Sandmann a “little supremacist” and a “little patriarch.” Such a morally bankrupt smear should be an offense to the intelligence of any reader.
